For decades, Sealwear have used premium latex rubber sheeting in the manufacture of latex garments. The sheets come in different material thicknesses and colours (see » Colour chart ).

As a basic principle, the manufacturing is based on sticking the parts together.

Latex wear is not only exposed to different mechanical loads and thermal stresses, but it also often encounters liquids and sometimes even finds itself under water for extended periods undergoing intense activity.

Based on the sticking method we use at our workshop and in conjunction with a special glue which was exclusively developed for us, Sealwear has a well earned reputation for guaranteeing your latex garment a long life.

In collaboration with the industry we managed to develop this special glue. Its properties include great elasticity and durability against the signs of ageing.

Compared to most petroleum-solvent based glues, the Sealwear glue, together with a special thinner that prevents surface oxidisation, establishes a worldwide reputation for SEALWEAR QUALITY.

This reputation extends to our workshop environment and our employees health and safety – we make sure they are not exposed to solvents and harmful vapours.

When we work up latex material with a thickness > 0.6 mm, glue lines and seams are generally faced from the “left side”.

This “sealing” is used to protect the latex from mechanical and chemical strains (e.g. sweat). This contributes to the overall comfort of the garment when wearing it.

Additionally, almost all seams (e.g. sleeves, hems, trouser legs, necklines, etc.) are usually faced.

This will reduce the risk of ripping and thus increase the durability of your latex garment.
